Nancy Abrahamson The Avid Reader
Independent Event Coordinator | Book Community Moderator | Literary explorer
My journey has taken me through different worlds, from teaching to journalism, and eventually into the wonderful world of books, readers, and literary communities. Each experience has shaped my love for communication, storytelling, learning, and connecting with people.
I have always enjoyed a good read, a meaningful conversation, and the opportunity to discover the stories and experiences behind different people. For me, books are not just about the pages we turn. They are also about the conversations they inspire, the perspectives they introduce, and the connections they create.
Over time, that interest grew into becoming involved in book communities, moderating reader discussions, and bringing authors and readers closer together. Today, as an independent event coordinator and book community moderator, I enjoy helping create opportunities for literary discussions, author conversations, and collaborations with bloggers, book clubs, podcasts, and other reading communities.
I also enjoy discovering new places, exploring different experiences, and being part of occasions that bring people together. Whether it is through a book discussion, an author interview, a community gathering, or a new collaboration, I believe there is always something valuable to discover when people share ideas and experiences.
I collaborate with BookStage Network on selected literary events and maintain connections with independent authors, readers, and other creative communities. My work is centred on engagement, meaningful connections, and helping good stories find the people who will appreciate them.
At heart, I am simply someone who loves a good story, enjoys meeting interesting people, and believes that every great conversation can open the door to something new.
